For those of you interested in
getting an early WDP fix before my new book hits the shelves,
you can do no better than Alan Clark's newest book, "The Life
and Times of Buddy Holly and the Crickets Volume Three. Inside
this book you will be treated to some great stories about that
tour, some of them even new to me! Truly a labor of love and
something deserving of being in every Buddy Holly and the
Crickets library. Great job, Alan!

Dear Alan,
Finished your book. I really liked it and you've done an
excellent job as usual. I liked your asides. I enjoyed your book
and I'm sure the volumes on Ritchie and Jape will be as good.

I have just got home from the Clovis Music Festival and one of
the highlights was seeing good friend Alan Clark and getting his
long awaited volume three of The Life And Times Of Buddy Holly
And The Crickets.
This book has been eagerly anticipated for a long time now
following Alan's superb previous two volumes and this edition
covering the end of the final tour and the tragic accident does
not let the reader down.
Once again Alan has included many advertisements for the tour
that have not been published before and many rare and unseen
photographs.
A real bonus was the section covering Buddys' influence on the
music world since his tragic death and shows very clearly how
far ahead of his time he really was.
I could not put this book down and would recommend it to any
rock'n'roll fan who wants the facts in an accurate and
entertaining format.
I also picked up Alans new photo book containing his pictures of
all the music stars he has met and worked with over his own
substantial music career.
From Del Shannon to Roy Orbison via Carl Perkins, Alan really
has met them all.
You need to add these two outstanding books to your music
library as soon as you can.
Please save me a copy of your next publication Alan.....

Alan has produced another fine book. It is power packed with
loads of information and well worth the price. The book is well
represented on nice quality paper and arranged very nicely. A
must have publication for your Buddy library. Well done Alan.

I have just finished reading Volume Three of your Buddy Holly
biography for the second time. What a superb publication!
Coupled with Volumes One and Two, they make a superb set of
books which taken together are terrific reading and increase the
knowledge of Buddy Holly to a very large extent. Many, many
thanks and please keep them coming. Can you please let me know
what your next publication(s) is (are) going to be. Volume One
of your Music Memories publication has arrived. Lovely! Best
regards.

Hi, Alan! I received the new Life & Times of Holly and the
Crickets. "WOW"!!
I've got to say you've really covered the bases (so much
material on the WDP that is new to me)!
It's interesting, following the Crickets' progress through the
early '60's.Once again, congratulations
on an awesome book! "CHEERS!"

Just loved it! I want the book to keep on going...to never end.
Thank you for writing these books, Alan.

Alan's books are written different to most others, he writes
them how we like 'em best.
Almost like as if it's your own personal scrapbook, lots of
photos, 'cuttings' and trivia, but also lots of real fact. No
controversy either. Looks like this book'll be a valuable one,
like Larry Lehmer's was, about The Three Stars. Good guy, that
Alan Clark! Helluva nice guy, too, and....one helluva singer
too! Looking forward to seeing you at the Surf if not
before, Alan.
Yer English buddy, Paul
